Cristian Mancuso, alias "Crimasso", was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1998. His strong predisposition towards art is noticed at an early age. It shows during a psychological aptitude visit, mostly in the Swiss school system, at the age of only 6, when Dr. Baldassarre noticed that her visual perception was far beyond the normal and one of her designs would have been attributed by her peers ... to a sixteen-year-old and not a kindergarten child. When Cristian is 13 years old, the family decides to move to his country of origin in Italy; this represents a difficult existential moment for the boy and his contradictory feelings between the expectation of a new life, but also nostalgia for the inclinations and places of his childhood, create in him a confused emotional state that leads to an original personal creativity and exceptionality. His mother, Angela Procopio, an established artist and painting teacher, encouraged him to express his originality and let him participate in his first collective painting exhibitions with his students in 2012 and 2013. His style of painting immediately catches the eye, which distinguishes him from all other exhibition participants, he is noticed by critics and gallery owners who invite him to important international exhibitions. At the age of 17, he participated in the 2nd International Biennale of Palermo, where he was selected by Vittorio Sgarbi from among 1000 participants to promote his art as part of the "First Aid" project, and a few months later Crimasso exhibited one of his works at the Barcelona Biennale, where he was appreciated by internationally renowned critics such as Josè Van Roy Dalì and Paolo Levi. He then began his journey through major European cities such as Paris, St. Petersburg, Palermo, Barcelona, Zurich and exhibited at the "World Wide Art Show" in New York in 2017.
